Wishing all residents and staff a wonderful Festive Season and those travelling to be with family and friends, may your visits be memorable and you return home safely.
Residents who have not yet advised the reception of their seating requirements re the Christmas Lunch being held on Wednesday the 4th December 2024 are urged to do so as soon as possible so as not to be disappointed on the day.
Diane Kohler Barnard (MP) and Remona McKenzie (Ward 31 City Councillor) will be delivering feedback in the Caister Lounge at 09:00 am on Wednesday the 11th December 2024 on the eThekwini GNU and what has been achieved in working in an unfriendly coalition.
Ciara Labuscagne will be entertaining the residents on the Caister veranda on Wednesday the 18th December 2024 with an “Irish Christmas Dance Delight”. Ciara will be representing South Africa at the World Irish Dance Championships in 2025 at her own cost and any donations received to assist with her travelling expenses will be greatly appreciated.
Sharon Kirsten, who performed in the Caister lounge on the 23rd October 2024 will once again be entertaining residents on the veranda on New Year’s Eve. Come and join in the fun.
We bid farewell to Phillip Ngubane, one of the Caister’s waiter’s who will be retiring at the end of the year after nearly 20 years of service and we wish him well and thank him for his long and dedicated service to Caister Lodge.
Thank you to all residents who contribute to the Staff Gratuity fund which will be divided amongst all staff members during the month of December.
Residents who have requested Regular Visitor Barcodes and not yet received them may enquire at the reception for the collection thereof.
Please be mindful of not leaving electrical appliances on unnecessarily as the electricity costs continues to be a financial burden on the company’s resources. Please switch off electrical items such as air conditioners when you are not physically in your apartment.
Even though the water levels in the dams are rising due to the summer rains, please continue to use this resource sparingly as the rising cost thereof is having a negative impact on the company’s overheads. For your information, please see below the current levels of the dams that feed the greater Durban area.
