Congratulations to the “Know-All” team, represented by Louis Simon, Megan Caminsky and Basil and Cecily Duke who won the quarterly quiz on Wednesday evening. Grateful thanks to the quiz master, Allan Kelly for setting and delivering challenging questions for the contestants. A big thank you goes to Monica Horner of Diverse Distributors for the sponsorship of the prizes for the winning team.
The Classical Duo of Jenny Stern (Piano) and Emmanuel Bach (Violin) will be sharing their talents in the Caister Lounge on Tuesday the 2nd July from 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Donation will be gratefully received.
The July Sweepstakes Draw will be taking place on the veranda at 10:30 am on Friday the 5th July. Tickets are available at R5.00 each from reception and remember “YOU HAVE TO BE IN IT TO WIN IT”
Con Vocare will once again be entertaining the residents in the lounge from 6:00 pm on Thursday the 25th July.
The Caister Care Centre is hosting a Winter Wellness Day on Wednesday the 3rd July from 09:30 am till 12:30 pm on the veranda. All residents are welcome to partake in an array of healthy juices formulated to boost your immune system. The emphasis on healthy, natural remedies promises to be both enlightening and enjoyable. Cowey Park Pharmacy will be bringing an array of goodies to treat and pamper all attendees.

The meal prices for visitors will be increased by R5.00 from the 1st July 2024 and herewith the new prices:- Breakfast R60.00, Lunch (except Wednesday and Sunday) R85.00, Wednesday and Sunday Lunch R100.00 and Dinner R60.00.
Residents are reminded that Caister Lodge is an Independent Living facility and to ensure that the apartments are securely locked at all times as to not tempt any perpetrators from entering the unit and helping themselves to valuable items.
Residents who have had their doors and gate locks replaced are to ensure that the clinic has the correct spare keys so as the nursing staff have access in the event of an emergency.
Once again, residents are reminded to please return crockery and glassware that has been removed from the dining room or not given back to the tray waiters on request which is creating shortages and not to mention an exorbitant cost to replace same.
Residents are urged not to feed the Egyptian Geese as they are wild birds and are able to fend for themselves.
The summer rains are behind us and residents are reminded to continue to use this resource sparingly. Please see below the current levels of the dams that feed the greater Durban area.
