Wishing all the residents a Happy Festive Season and for those travelling, may they be blessed with a wonderful time with family and friends and a safe return home. A reminder to all residents of the Caister Christmas Lunch will be held on Wednesday the 13th December and the Braai Day on Saturday the 16th December. Residents are advised to communicate their seating requirements for the Caister Christmas Lunch on the 13th December 2023 with David Mason.
There has been a request to allow visitors to join in on the Caister’s Christmas Lunch on the 13th December which has been agreed upon and reservations can be made at reception and the cost for this lunch will be R295.00 per visitor.
Residents are asked to please advise whether they will be attending the Christmas Day Lunch on the 25th December and whether you are inviting any guests to please make your reservations timeously to avoid disappointment as we have already received several bookings. The Christmas Day Lunch will cost R295.00 per visitor.

Residents who are unable to have their meals in the dining room and request room service are to ensure that Sr Karen has authorized same so as their room service charge is adjusted accordingly.
To ensure all residents safety in the event of an emergency, the clinic staff will be conducting a key audit over the next month and respectfully request your assistance in this matter.
The ever increasing electricity tariffs is having a negative effect on the overhead costs at Caister Lodge and residents are urged to be mindful of this expense as well as the ever increasing cost of diesel that is required to keep the lights on during load-shedding outages and power failures.
The recent storms have improved the level of dams that feed the greater Durban area. Even though the dams are near capacity, please continue to use this resource sparingly as the cost thereof is having a negative impact on the Caister’s overhead structure. please see below the current levels of the dams that feed the greater Durban area.
