Congratulations to the “Know-All” team, represented by Louis Simon, Shirley Foreman and Basil and Cecily Duke who won the first bi-annual quiz of 2024 by a narrow margin. Grateful thanks to the quiz master, Allan Kelly for the setting and delivering of thought challenging questions for the contestants. A big thank you goes to Satish of the Veg Company for the sponsorship of bumper fruit baskets for the winners.

The KZN Philharmonic Orchestra will be performing their “Symphony of Hope” programme for the Caister residents on the verandah at 11:00 am on Thursday the 4th April 2024.

On Thursday the 11th April 2024, well-known tenor, Chris Coetzee will be entertaining the Caister residents from 10:30 am in the lounge or verandah, venue still to be decided.

We would like to welcome the following new residents to Caister Lodge and hope that their stay at Caister Lodge will be a long and happy one:- James and Brenda Gourley - Unit 75

The clinic management would like to remind all residents that Cowey Park Pharmacy will be on site in April to administer flu and pneumonia vaccines. Residents are urged to get vaccinated against flu and even more importantly against pneumonia, as chest infection is particularly serious among the elderly and could result in hospitalization.

All vaccines will be processed through your medical aid, so please add your details to the list on the notice board in order to expedite the vaccine process. Cowey Park Pharmacy staff will be providing snacks and hand or foot massages as a gesture of thanks to the residents.

The date of vaccination is yet to be confirmed as we are still waiting for residents to complete the lists provided on the notice board.

The Caister shareholders are reminded that the AGM will be held on Tuesday the 30th April 2024 at 10.30 am in the lounge.

Ivan Cotton, the handyman has resigned and will be seeking greener pastures in Gauteng. We wish Ivan every success in his future endeavours and thank him for his services over the last six years.
